We encourage you to talk to your coach first regarding any issue related to the current season. If the issue is outside of the season dates or a reasonable attempt to resolve the issue with the coach has been made and unsuccessful, please feel free to contact:

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO REACH OUT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM?
Feel free to reach out anytime 8am - 9pm however, please keep in mind, we too are volunteers and have work requirements during the day. We ask that you give us 24-48 hours to respond to messages after work hours. Please leave a detailed message if we are unable to answer and we will respond as soon as possible.
WHAT AGE CAN MY DAUGHTER START PLAYING SOFTBALL?
The youngest a player can start is age 4. We offer T-ball for girls age 4 & 5 which is a good introduction to the game of softball where basic skills are learned. However any girl can start at any age as long as they are 4 or older.
WHEN DOES T-BALL START AND WHERE DO THEY PLAY?
T-ball typically starts mid May and goes through June. Our t-ball is run within the organization which means ALL games are played within Canton South. The t-ballers are typically broken into 2 teams that play against each other. Usually the game days are Saturdays however that is at the discretion of the coach.
WHERE CAN I SIT TO WATCH A GAME?
No spectators are allowed to sit behind the Backstop - this area is reserved for the scorekeeper and 1 additional representative. All spectators must sit from either the 1st or 3rd base side of the dugout towards the outfield.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES MY DAUGHTER NEED?
Each player will need:
A GLOVE
A BAT which must be USA approved (formally ASA with USA or ASA stamp)
A BATTING HELMET with attached facemask (Must be ASA approved)
A FACEMASK, all infielders MUST wear a facemask while on defense, Must be ASA approved. It is also recommended
and permitted for ALL defensive players (outfielders too) to wear a protective facemask for all age groups.
CAN MY DAUGHTER WEAR METAL CLEATS?
Rubber spikes or tennis shoes only (no metal spikes) for 8U, 10U & 12U. 14 U may wear Metal or Rubber Spikes
WHAT SIZE BALL WILL MY DAUGHTER NEED?
T-Ball - 10 in. Softie
8U - 11 in Hard Softball
10U - 11 in Hard Softball
12U - 12 in Hard Softball
14U -12 in Hard Softball
CAN MY DAUGHTER WEAR JEWELRY WHILE PLAYING?
Jewelry can be worn however, if the umpires deems it is unsafe, she will be asked to remove it.
EXCEPTION:
Newly pierced earrings located in the lower earlobe and medical and/or religious medals:
Earrings must be post type and enclosed in medical tape.
Medical and/or religious medals must be taped to the body without a chain.
Medical bracelets must be taped to the wrist.
ARE THERE RULES ON HAIR ACCESSORIES?
Only cloth style hair holders may be worn, no metal barrettes or metal clips are allowed.
WHEN WILL THE SEASON START?
8U, 10U and 12U games begin 1st week of May with Tournaments in June. Typically indoor practices begin in March and outdoor practices will start in April weather permitting. 14U season starts beginning of June with Tournaments the end of July.

WHY IS THE FUNDRAISER MANDATORY?
In order to keep our registration fees low, we ask that ALL participants participate in the MANDATORY fundraiser to help offset costs such as charter fees, umpire fees, equipment needs, field maintenance fees, etc.
